Sparkling Goddess

Sparkling Goddess started as a way for me to experiment with various techniques that I have been learning about. Across the top is a piece of paper bag that has been crunched up and painted with Pearl-Ex powders and Gloss Acrylic Varnish, a technique from Technique Junkies. I also played around with Angelina Fibers, Sheet Protectors and wrapping a Chenille Pipe Cleaner with a fancy yarn.
The idea of the Goddess came from a stamp I have from ERA that I have not used in some time and wanted to accent the paper bag area with it. I also needed to bring the idea to the center so I painted two 4 x 4 coasters then stamped one of them with the Goddess stamp and colored it with metalic pencils. Then I added some fancy corners to one and plain corners to the other. Lastly, I glued two rows of one inch square plastic tiles to one side of the canvas next to a piece of black lace. Suprisingly enough, my husband likes it.
