This is one of my favorite pictures. All we know is that she is a relative on my dad’s side of the family. The box is antiqued with Sophisticated Finishes and topped with some spare papers and lace I have. The copy of the picture was gone over with Encaustic Wax of various light colors. [...]
I decided to give art journals a try. With 3 colors of acrylic paint (dioxazine purple mixed with some gesso, metallic blue topaz and some pink), a few oriental stamps, some ribbon and a few brads I think I am off to a good start with this one. Let’s see how it goes…
